Special Programs
Welcome to our Special Programs at UP Excellence Academy, where we are dedicated to meeting the unique needs of every student. Our Special Programs cater to three important segments of our student body: Special Education, Emergent Bilinguals, and Gifted and Talented individuals.
Special Education:
At UP Excellence Academy, we are committed to ensuring that every student, regardless of their abilities or challenges, receives a high-quality education. Our Special Education program provides tailored support and individualized learning plans for students with special needs. Our team of experienced and compassionate special education educators work closely with parents and students to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. We offer a range of services, including speech therapy, occupational therapy, and resource rooms, to help students reach their full potential.
Emergent Bilingual Program:
Diversity is one of our strengths, and we celebrate the rich cultural backgrounds of our students. Our Emergent Bilingual Program supports students who are learning English as a second language. We provide specialized language instruction, cultural awareness, and a welcoming atmosphere to help emergent bilingual students thrive academically and socially. Our goal is to empower them to become proficient in English while preserving their native language and cultural identity.
Gifted and Talented Program:
We recognize that some students have exceptional abilities and talents that require advanced educational opportunities. Our Gifted and Talented program is designed to challenge and nurture these students. We offer enriched curriculum options, specialized projects, and opportunities for advanced coursework to help gifted students reach their highest potential. Our dedicated educators work closely with these students to foster their creativity, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
